What is a (Critical) Case Analysis?

The purpose of this assessment is for undergraduate students to analyse three case studies in a multidisciplinary context.

This encourages students to move outside their discipline to apply the same skills to different scenarios, thus developing an understanding of the interconnection of professions.

Students will be provided with five videos demonstrating ethical breaches or lapses relevant to each discipline (i.e., counselling, psychology, criminology, social work, coaching). Your written analysis and reflection should address the following:

1. Describe the ethical breach or lapse (Who and What)

2. Explain why/how the scenario represents an ethical breach

3. Apply one of the ethical framework discussed in the course

4. Reflect on how the framework you chose to apply was useful (or not)
