An annotated bibliography is a set of concise annotations that summarise and critically evaluate a selection of sources. 3. Conduct further, independent research relevant to each to your themed set of articles, to aid in your critical evaluation.

• Your research should focus primarily on the relevant required readings and scholarly sources, but can also draw in some media pieces or ‘grey literature’.

4. Provide a critical evaluation of each article from your themed set in the context of your research. This may include evaluation of the:

• Central argument 
• Main research findings or key themes 
• Methods (where relevant), and/or the approach taken to understanding the issues discussed
• Conclusions made by the author(s)
• Strengths and limitations of the reading
• How the reading is relevant to POLI1003, and/or what contribution it makes to advancing knowledge more broadly.
