This assessment allows you to demonstrate your ability to research a topic and also engage in cross-cultural team working. 

Description of the assignment:
A 15-minute group presentation based on one of the topics listed below. 

You must provide your chosen topic to your Tutor in your tutorial session by the end of Week 3 (14th February).

You will present on Weeks 9 (w/c 231d March) and 10 (w/c 30th March). You will work in groups of four with members from a mixture of nationalities. Your presentation should draw upon published academic literature, academically approved websites (e.g. government websites) and your own experiences. The presentation should be fully referenced and be presented in a professional manner, using presentation media such as Powerpoint.

Recording your presentation
Your presentation should be recorded in the LRC recording studio. Recording sessions will be scheduled during the two presentation weeks. You will be informed of your group's session by your Tutorial tutor.
 
Peer Review 
Your contribution to the group work will be assessed by your group members. This assessment will be done through WebPA (see link on Canvas). Group members will be evaluated across 10 criteria (see WebPA) using a 5-point scale. Peer ratings will affect your Presentation mark. Non-submission of peer ratings will also affect your mark. 

The specific Peer Assessment weighting and Non-completion penalty will be provided when the assessment is created on WebPA (after the formation of groups).

2. USA and Sweden 
Using USA and Sweden as comparative examples, critically appraise the extent to which it is possible to transfer HR policies and practices across countries. Use one specific HR policy and/or practice in illustrating your argument. 

3. UK and France 
Using the UK and France as comparative examples, critically appraise the extent to which it is possible to transfer HR policies and practices across countries. Use one specific FIR policy and/or practice in illustrating your argument.
