Project Brief:

  1. Project Background:

The School project (KTB) is an inflight project that started in mid-2016 and due to be completed in February 2018. But according to low experience of the organization with this type of project, the projects have been delayed, and I faced lot of issues since I started taking care of that project and trying to implement the project management tools. We will discuss these tools (like Risk Communication and Quality Management) later in details; the cost of this project is 61,426 AUD and the number of beneficiaries are 30,000.The main focuses of the current sustainable-aid projects, codenamed KTB (knowledge that Benefits).

  1. Project Benefit:

This Project will result in the following outcomes:

  • The implementation of this project represents one of the main challenges especially that the location of this project is on a remote south pacific island (Vanuatu-Tanna Island).

  •  The research in this area claim that only 74% of primary age children are enrolled in schools, the second lowest rate among the Pacific Islands. Out of 74%, only 91.2 survive to Grade 5. Vanuatu’s Ministry of Education, MoE, analyses suggest this may be as low as 63 or worse. Vanuatu has the highest proportion of children who have never attended school in the Pacific. (According to UNSTAT, only 87.2 complete Primary Education).

  1. Project Objectives:

The overarching project objectives are:

  •  Build a self-sustainable school that is also eco-friendly.

  •  Cyclone-Resistant School.

  •  Try to solve the problems faced before and create a process and start managing the people properly to ensure a successful project.

  •  Specify a deadline for the project by July 2019.
