Assignment Task

Goal

The goal of this project is to investigate government, community, and organization services that are available to the residents of your particular province.

Steps

You will research at least three organizations and gather information and data for each daily assignment. You will research a government, a local, and a provincial community service organization and gather information on the organization including contact information and location using the Internet. You must gain a basic understanding of an organization and its service programs by reading the contents of websites. You must submit, at minimum, one government, one local, and one provincial community service for each category. If you are unable to find a government, local, or provincial organization you may submit two from another category but, at minimum, three organizations must be submitted per day

Research Tasks

1. List at least three organizations providing community service programs to the categories assigned for each daily research assignment.

2. Write 1-2 sentences describing each organization and how it meets the needs of that specific daily category.

3. State where these community service programs are available, i.e., locally (state which community), provincially, or federally?

4. Seven (7) resource categories clearly outlined.

a. Disabilities Resources

b. Seniors and Assisted Living Resources

c. Youth and Community Supports Resources

d. Immigrant Resources

e. Employment Resources

f. Shelters and Housing Resources

g. Aboriginal and First Nations Resources

5. Organizations and Resources listed with detailed information under each category.
