Task 1
What is the question you are aiming to answer in your blog post? (Let the markers know so they can grade the next two questions.)
What data are you will be using to answer that question? Be sure to include in your submission a comprehensive data description. Here is a non-exhaustive list that might help you: read me, meta data, licence, data type (census, survey, etc.), date last updated, data limitations, data privacy or other ethical considerations. The relevant details here will depend on the data you choose and the analysis you perform. Depending on your topic, some of this data description may be best shared in stand alone read me or meta data file. (Please note you must demonstrate a core subset of the important skills of this unit to be awarded full marks.)
Describe your data download process?
Task 2
Write a blog-post on your chosen topic.
Give your blog post a title. Write a captivating opening paragraph that explains the question you are answering / what you are aiming to do / what you are aiming to show with your data.
In your writing, we recommend thinking of your fellow students in ETC5512 as your audience. Also remember your markers! They do not want to read novels. The time it takes to read your blog post should be roughly 3 - 5 minute. This means you will only include the most important and relevant parts about your data and your analysis in the blog post. Other details can be shared in Parts 1 and 3 where relevant.
Also make sure to share why the blog post your wrote is interesting to you.
You will be graded on:
