Since its inception in 2011, Delhivery has become India’s leading supply chain service company. Their vision is to become the operating system for commerce in India, through a combination of world class infrastructure, logistics operation of the highest quality and cutting edge engineering and technology capabilities. Delhivery provides products and services with the aim of building trust and improving lives of consumers, small businesses and enterprises. They are disrupting India’s logistics industry through their proprietary network design as well as infrastructure partnerships. Delhivery brings cost efficiency and pan-India reach to the businesses of over 10,000 customers. They are driven by a mission to shrink time and distance, while making the world a smaller place for their customers and over a billion consumers they serve.
Problem Statement
Delhivery is currently serving 17,500 pin codes in the country by over 2500 last mile centers which covers 80% of India’s pin codes. In the next phase of Expansion, total 19000 pin codes have been targeted. That leads to addition of 1500 pin codes to be incorporated into the existing network to fulfill maximum volume and fastest delivery. As per the data given, existing 17,500 pin codes are being catered using a network of
3007 Distribution Centers,
65 Hubs and
170 Inter-processing centers.
Additional 1500 pin codes are to be added in such a way to locate a network of distribution centers, hubs and IPCs. Hence, the aim is to add 1500 pin codes while developing a network of DCs, Hubs and IPCs catering to maximum volume with fastest possible delivery by 15 th March, 2021.
