• Using birds eye view, you will creatively design a quality classroom environment for infant/ toddlers. You will work on creating surroundings conducive to high quality infant/toddler care and education this includes group activities, privacy, storage, display, easy supervision and so on. Consider how you would want the children and families to feel when they enter your classroom? What would make the space warm, inviting and safe? 

• Your classroom layout will include labels and examples of resources in all the areas of the environment. Using research and readings you will explain/ justify how the space supports infants/ toddler's safety, growth, development, individual needs, engagement with appropriate resources, positive relationships with adults and other children and overall healthy and well being.  Consider the 'why? what? where? how?' of the space and use research and readings to support your thinking.

• You need to ensure and demonstrate that your layout is designed and assessed adequately to minimise risk and harm.

• You would need to record your presentation: you may use PPT and add your narration or commentary to the slide show (please ensure it is no more than 5 mins) and upload that into dropbox. All group members would need to submit the same document. 

• You can either choose your groups or your lecturer will assign them for you. For those self placing- please email your lecturer if you wish to choose your group members
