1. Design a band stop filter to block 60Hz. Show your calculations used to determine the component values.

1. How would you redesign the circuit to increase the slope of the sides of the filter in Part 1?
2. For Part 1, you could use a variety of combinations of components and get the same filter response. What are some things to consider when selecting values? What consequences come from choosing very large or very small values? Evaluate your own selections. (Hint: consider the input impedance of your circuit.)
3. Is there another topology you could have used for your design in Part 2? (Hint: review Lab 8 and your text.) Describe it in detail or show a schematic. Compare and contrast your design to the alternative. Consider the narrowness of the stop-band, the input impedance, and the component expense (and any other considerations you think might be important).
