Design a full-transistor-based (MOSFET-based) multi-stage amplifier based on 0.18-μm CMOS technology, which accepts the input signal with peak-to peak of 0.01 V and provides a voltage gain of 150 V/V (at least). The input resistance of the amplifier should be less than 1 Kilo ohms. The upper 3- dB frequency (f) of the amplifier should be fi=1~5 GHz (a value for fH, which is between 1GHz and 5 GHz, is required). Note that the main amplifier circuit should be no more than three MOSFETs
1. Please note that main amplifier circuit means those transistors applied for amplification. Your design may include more than three transistors. However, as we know, the increasing number of transistors will increase complexity. Hence, an optimum design is formed by the minimum number of transistors, while all requirements are satisfied. This will bring an advantage and an outstanding design for the conducted project.
2. In your report, provide all steps of the amplifier design including theoretical analysis of the circuit by determining input resistance, output resistance, voltage gain and its high frequency response.
3. Parameters of the mentioned CMOS technology are given in Table K.1 of the textbook.
