Design of Steel and Composite Bridges

Assignment Task 

Design the 30m span composite footbridge shown in the figure below, taking account of both the temporary (construction) stage and the normal stage (in-service condition), and present the calculations justifying the chosen beam size and the bracing arrangement (see next page). The design should be presented according to EC3 and EC4 and the relevant NA supplements for the UK. The footbridge is constructed over a 20m wide river with road access from both sides.
