c) Audience: Describe the intended audience the digital media strategy is directed at (i.e. internal or external stakeholders or both), and any special communication needs to be considered for this audience.
d) Link to strategic plan: Explain how the campaign links to the organisation's wider strategic plan.
e) Legal and ethical considerations: Outline the relevant legal and ethical considerations when developing and implementing the digital media strategy. Include any relevant legislation, regulations or codes of practice that need to be adhered to, e.g. copyright.
f) Barriers to success: Identify two (2) potential barriers to the effectiveness of the digital media strategy.
g) Contingency plans: Detail a contingency or crisis plan to be put in place to address the barriers identified in the previous step.
h) Evaluation methods: Describe the methods that will be used to review and evaluate the effectiveness of the digital media strategy.
A) Overview
EDM marketing, or Electronic Direct Mail marketing, is a marketing tactic used by companies to target a large group of potential customers and focuses on building relationships to increase overall sales. It involves building an email database of customers and potential customers and directly sending them email communications and promotional offers.
 
Part B: Implement the digital media strategy
In part B of this assessment, you are required to create an Electronic Direct Mail (EDM), based on the digital strategy you developed in part A.
To do this, you need to:
1. Develop an EDM to be sent to clients as part of the digital strategy you developed in part A. Your EDM may contain a media release, flyer or communication of your choice. It must:
a) Be clearly and logically set out, adhering to the organisation's email communication guidelines.
b) Explain who the organisation is and where it is located.
c) Explain the service/s that you are promoting.
d) Provide details on when and how the service can be accessed.
e) Outline any costs involved.
f) Provide contact details for people to obtain further information.
g) Contain pictures of the organisation and its staff and services.
NOTE: You will be required to submit a copy of your EDM with this assessment. 
2. Create your EDM using a suitable program, such as MailChimp, and send it to two (2) stakeholders in the organisation. Explain to the stakeholders that they are to imagine they are clients of the community sector organisation receiving the EDM.

Part C: Review the digital media strategy.
In part C of this assessment, you are required to obtain feedback and write a report evaluating the effectiveness of your digital media strategy and EDM campaign.
To do this, you need to:
1. Develop a feedback form in order to obtain feedback on the EDM campaign. Your feedback form should ask about:
Clarity and accuracy of the information provided
Information of most interest to the client and why
Areas for improvement. 
2. Send your feedback form to the two (2) stakeholders you shared your EDM with. Remind them that they are to provide their feedback from the perspective of the client who would be receiving this EDM.
NOTE: You will need to submit the completed feedback forms as part of your assessment.
 
3. Based on the feedback you gathered, write a reflective report of at least 500 words that addresses the following:
a) Strategy suitability: Evaluate the suitability of the digital media strategy and campaign as a promotional method for the service.
b) Strategy amendments: Detail changes that need to be made to the digital media strategy based on the feedback received.
c) Alternatives: Outline alternative digital media strategies that could be used in place or in conjunction with you digital media strategy.
d) Lessons learnt: Describe the lessons learnt in developing and implementing your digital media strategy and the changes you would make to improve the effectiveness of the strategy.
HINT: You may like to structure your report using a – d as your headings.
