Develop a comprehensive business case outlining recommendation for the application of innovative and sustainable information management technological solutions
ASSESSMENT TASK 3: DESCRIPTION
To complete this assessment task, you need to:

Task:
Develop a business case for the selection and application of a one or more information management technologies covered in Topics 2-6 (Data Warehouse, Data Mining, Text, Web and Social Analytics, Internet of Things, Big Data) to address business issue(s)/challenge(s)/opportunity(ies) in an organisation of your selection.
Use the PESILE framework to justify your selections and to ensure that your recommendations will enable the development of an effective, resilient and inclusive business organisation. The business case will be presented to a senior executive in the organisation.
Note: Where practical develop this business case for your current /or a past workplace.
Your business case should detail the following:
o Executive summary
o A summary of the business case, outlining your information management technology recommendation(s) to address business issue(s)/challenge(s)/opportunity(ies)for an organisation of your selection.(Think of this as an elevator pitch to hook the decision maker)
o Introduction
o The rationale for the business case contextualised to the issue(s)/challenge(s)/opportunity(ies). Briefly describe what has happened in the past to address issue(s)/challenge(s)/opportunity(ies) and what the current status is at the time of writing this business case. In other words, set the scene for the rationale or reason(s) for developing this business case at this particular time?
o What is the goal of the business case, what is expects to deliver? A high-level description (a one-liner) of the objective(s)of the options recommended in this business case.
o The business case should relate/align with the organisations corporate values and goals and/or produce results that relate to the organisations corporate values and goals. A description of how this business case is focused on incorporating and developing innovative and sustainable business practices for the organisation must be included here.
o Industry and market analysis
o A comparative analysis of the information management technologies application to this organisation’s identified issue(s)/ challenge(s)/opportunity(ies). Use a table to provide comparative analysis
o A summary of theoretical and industry research that informs your information management technology selections
o The selection (Information Management technology)
o Select the most appropriate (one or more or combination (i.e. Internet of Things with Video Analysis) information management technologies (covered in Topics 2-6), that are the most effective method in addressing the organisational business issue(s) / challenge(s)/opportunity(ies)
