Highlights
Task
Task 1: Download the Assessment files
In this Skills Assessment (SA) you will configure the devices in a small network. You must configure a router, switch and PCs to support both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity. You will configure security, including SSH, on the router. You will test and document the network using common CLI commands. Finally, you will save the router configuration to a TFTP server.
1. After you have completed the Final Theory Exam, it is time to undertake the Final Practical Skills Exam assessment so we may gauge your understanding on the practical aspects for the learning you have completed.
Download the two files:
• Packet Tracer File
• Switching and Routing 5-3 document file
2. Following the instructions within the document Switching and Routing 5-3 complete tasks on the Packet Tracer Assessment file.
3. Where applicable, ensure that you have answered the questions with the Switching and Routing 5-3 document as well as it has areas for you to write your answers from this exam.
4. Once you have completed all the tasks for the assessment on both the Packet Tracer Assessment file as well as the Switching and Routing 5-3 file, proceed to submit both files via the OLS as per the instructions specified in the sections below.
5. Once you have completed Final Exams and record your results accordingly in the table below and a teacher will check your results online in the Cisco Network Academy website for these exams.

Packet Tracer Resources
• 1 Router
• 1 Switch
• 2 PCs
• Console cable to configure the Cisco IOS devices via the console ports
• Ethernet cables as shown in the topology
Task 2: Develop the IPv4 Addressing Scheme
Given an IP address and mask of 192.168.25.0/24 (address/mask), design an IP addressing scheme that satisfies the following requirements. Network address/mask and the number of hosts for Subnets A and B will be provided by your instructor.
Task 3: Initialize and Reload Devices
Step 1: Enter the appropriate CLI command needed to initialize and reload router and switch
Task 4: Configure Device IPv4 and Security Settings
Step 2: Configure host computers.
After configuring each host computer, record the host network settings with the ipconfig /all command.
Step 3: Configure R1.
Step 4: Configure S1.
Task 5: Test and Verify IPv4 End-to-End Connectivity
Step 5: Verify network connectivity.
Use the ping command to test connectivity between all network devices.
Task 6: Configure IPv6 Addressing on R1
Given an IPv6 network address of 2001:DB8:ACAD::/48, configure IPv6 addresses for the Gigabit interfaces on R1. Use FE80::1 as the link-local address on both interfaces.
Step 6: Configure R1.
Task 7: Test and Verify IPv6 End-to-End Connectivity
Step 7: Obtain the IPv6 address assigned to host PCs.
Step 8: Use the ping command to verify network connectivity.
IPv6 network connectivity can be verified with the ping command. Use the following table to methodically verify connectivity with each network device. Take corrective action to establish connectivity if a test fails
Task 8: Use the IOS CLI to Gather Device Information
Step 9: Issue the appropriate command
Step 10: Enter the appropriate CLI command needed to display the following on R1
Task 9: Enter the appropriate CLI command needed to save the R1 Configuration to a TFTP Server.
