Hello everyone. Myself Emiliya Saji and today, I am here to present my slides on topic – Developing an E-commerce platform for GlobalMart using Systems Development Life Cycle. Let’s start with the agenda. I will firstly provide you the overview of the case study, then I will discuss the project plan with the help of Gantt Chart. After that, I will discuss the activities in every SDLC phase, outlie the challenges and suggest recommendations for the same.

The case study is about designing the e-commerce platform for the GlobalMart enterprise as the company aims at expanding its online presence. The applications of enterprise are concerned with huge-scale software solutions designed to support and streamline the operations of business. The major objectives of GlobalMart include streamlining e-commerce procedure. improving consumer experience and ensuring system security, integration and integrity of data.

The solution being proposed involves applying SDLC framework. It is considered as structured methodology that aids in ensuring successful process of software development from planning through maintenance. This strategy decreases risk, enhances quality and supports collaboration among teams. With regard to features, the system tends to support user registration, product search, shopping cart, tracking of order and admin dashboard. It is secure, scalable and incorporates with prevailing system such as payment gateways and ERP.

In terms of project plan, I have mentioned major tasks and timelines with the help of Gantt Chart. Every SDLC phase starting from planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation to maintenance – comprises of particular activities. For instance, we describe goals and scope during planning phase and system architecture and user interfaces are created in design phase.
