Assignment Task -

Question 1

Main Part

Answer the following based on the completed table, including the task dependencies you’ve chosen:  (a) Draw an activity-on-node (AON) graph to represent the task dependencies.

(a) Determine the project duration (showing your working).

(b) Identify which tasks have slack time.

Say you’re using Scrum with 2-week (10-day) sprints. At the very start of the project, the product  owner wants to add activities D and E to the sprint backlog. Is this possible?

(c)  Explain why or why not.

(e) Completed activity J.

(f) Completed all tasks that would have been necessary to undertake J in the first place.

(g) Calculate your “actual progress” at this point (showing your working).

Say that each activity will be represented by a kanban card. Show what a kanban board  would/could look like at the following points in time:

(i) When activity E is in development.

(ii) When activity I is under review.

Question 2

Consider the following services, and imagine that they each require a software system:

• A Weather monitoring system;

• An Air traffic control system;

• A Retail store;

• A University;

• A Medical Centre.

(a) Pick any two of the above services. For each, identify two kinds of users who are likely to need  access to its software system. For each type of user, write a relevant and plausible user story.

(You should have FOUR user stories in total. They must be significantly different from one another, not  just variations.) [4 marks]

(b) Pick any two of your user stories from part (a). For each, write a complete use case corresponding  to the user story, including at least one extension. Your portrayal of these services should be  reasonably plausible. If in doubt, state your assumptions.

Also give an accompanying explanation of the header information in your use cases; that is, what  does it mean?

   (You should have TWO use cases in total.) [12 marks]

(c) Pick any two of your user stories from part (a). For each, which is likely to be a more appropriate  reliability metric – MTTF, MTBF, ROCOF, POFOD, or Availability? Justify your answers.

Note: you’re not actually writing the full reliability requirement here, but rather explaining which  metric would be more suitable.

   (You should have TWO explanations in total, one for each chosen user story.) [3 marks]

(d) Pick any two of your user stories from part (a). For each, write a relevant and plausible usability  requirement related to the user story.

   (You should have TWO usability requirements in totol.) [3 marks]

(e) Pick any two of your user stories from part

(f) For each, give an example of an invalid  nonfunctional requirement, and explain what makes it invalid.
