Cultural Beliefs and Practices

Experienced trauma from this which has resulted in increased anxiety about leaving home and meeting new people. His brother's passing while in hospital has contributed to his negative attitude and distrust towards hospitalizations and healthcare services. He has declined diabetes care from the multidisciplinary diabetes team (MDT) and maintains only minimal contact with the Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS)

Health Literacy

Charlie has received only minimal formal education, can write his name, but not read any text

Social Support

He has no family support within his community Has declined to participate in any community activities due to his anxiety resulting from the trauma of losing his brother. Receives some support from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
