Learner is required to look at existing operations management & quality management processes, procedures & systems within the organization, &, evaluate competitiveness of the organization in achieving key strategic objectives both in the domestic and global contexts. Where required, compare with other best-in-class organizations to further support your responses to the different parts of the report.
Pointers on selecting a company
I recommend choosing a company that is well researched by scholars/researchers and can be found with multiple sources in our in-house library (Pro-Quest) or Google Scholar.
Methodology to select the company: Select a company that is well researched but it comes in the mid top range of the sector you are working for. In this way you will be able to learn the best practices in your sector as well as respond qualitatively for the assignment questions. Ensure that the company selected has been well researched and the research info is available in the academic reservoirs.
Reason not to select your company (if it’s not listed in Fortune 500 or Forbes List): there will be only one source of citation i.e. the company website (not recommended academically but allowed).

Executive summary should be written once you have completed all the other sections as it is a summary of the report and you would be able to summarize it properly once you have all the content needed. It covers all the major milestones of your report. It can be ideally a paragraph or two but never more than a page.
Introduce the company and its product or service offerings. Along with it list down its recently formulated organizational objectives. Show how well are the objectives connected to the operations (product or service range) and different quality processes. Since critical evaluation is not asked in the question, you can connect the objectives positively.

Now Evaluate (check) if the above processes are meeting the strategic objectives of your organization in the long run.
