Highlights
Description
As a Digital Forensics Practitioner, you will work on many cases in which the person in question has purposely hidden data, in order to hide incriminating activities. It will be your role to identify this hidden data and provide evidence which explains how this was achieved.
Before you are able to analyse data, the Digital Forensics Process must be followed. In this scenario, exhibits would have been seized by Law Enforcement and a bit-for-bit forensic image would have been acquired.
Your task is to analyse the Digital Forensics image provided for this scenario and report back your findings in a technical report.
You may use any Digital Forensic Tool(s) which are appropriate for the recovery of data. For example, FTK , Autopsy etc.
You will be provided with a Digital Forensic Image on Blackboard to complete this assignment: 2020JimmyWilson.E01.
Deliverables
You are expected to use any Digital Forensics Tool(s) which is appropriate to perform the technical analysis of the forensic image provided. You are expected to produce a report that document the findings of your Digital Investigation including basic information about the person of interest of the Digital Forensic Image provided, the Operating System used and any evidence for anti-forensic technique used to hide evidence.
