Assignment Task

As part of the formal assessment of the Diploma in Accounting & Finance Management program, you are required to submit an assignment that covers 20% of your total marks and a mandatory requirement to be eligible for the other tests to determine your overall evaluation in the course. Task

You being the new Financial Accountant of XYZ Ltd., a company having Rs. 800 million top-line in manufacturing industrial and domestic cleaning liquids having 50 branches in Sri Lanka for selling its products. The company has been reporting profits whilst 5 branches in fairly good locations have been under- performing every year (financials are provided as the total of 5 branches). You to analyze the past accounts of those branches and make a quick report within 3 days to table it at the next board meeting.

A. Your report should provide business analysis/assessment of the 5 branches based on the accounts provided, for the investors and Banks.

B. Provide on what grounds/bases those remarks are provided (ratios/other analysis and possible non-financial situations etc.)

C. In addition to the above report, prepare the balance sheets for the three years (2020, 2021 &2022) based on the 2019 details.
