Title:  Design and Build of a Flow bench for measuring discharge coefficient CD of intake port of IC engine

Aim: To deign, manufacture and obtain test results/analysis from IC engine port Flow Bench.  A flow bench is an experimental tool used to characterise flow through inlet and exhaust valves.  It is normal to maintain a constant (arbitary) pressure drop across the valve, whilst recording flow rate at various valve lifts until flow reaches a maximum.  Results should be analysed and compared to published literature.

Equipment required: Components to build test rig, including small fan (vacuum) , and IC engine intake port for test.
