The data is available at (sampling rate 64 samples/cycle). Two_day data - Google DriveThere are 9 columns in each data file. Columns from 1 to 9 are hour, minute, second, phase-A voltage, phase-B voltage, phase-C voltage, phase-A current, phase-B current and phase-C current, respectively. The voltage columns shall have peak values approaching 200 and the current approaching 5. The data is from a 25kV substation and were collected from PT and CT directly without proper scaling. But this shall not affect your project work.
Task 2:
This task is to process two sets of voltage waveform data for the purpose of determining 1) their respective frequencies and 2) phase angle differences, both as functions of time. The data are from two locations (Calgary and Edmonton) but they can be synchronized using the GPS precision time provided in the data. (Read attachment 2b-syncwave.pdf on synchronized data)
There are various methods to calculate frequencies. One is the IEEE PMU standard and the other is the IEC method (IEC61000-4-30)
1) You select one of the methods to determine the frequencies and phases of the two waveforms.
2) Determine the phase difference of the two voltages over time
3) Use the original concept of phase, calculate the phase difference of the two voltages and compare with the solution obtained in step
