(a) Introduction (150 words) Provide a brief overview of the freedom of information regime. Confirm whether it applies in your client's circumstances, and what its potential utility might be. 
(b) Draft request and potential outcomes (1400 words) Provide your client with an explanation of your freedom of information request and the government's potential response to that request. In

writing this letter, you should consider: 
• What documents or categories of documents are you seeking?

• Which documents are likely to be released and why? Which documents may be refused and why? Explain the bases for refusal which are most likely to be relevant in a case such as this.

• Have you drafted your request in an appropriate way to limit the possibility of refusal? 
(c) Merits review rights (200 words) What options are available to review your decision on the merits? (You are not required to discuss the availability of appeal or judicial review on questions of law).
