Download non-financial company-level data for any country for the period of 2005-2018. A minimum sample size should be 100 companies. Specifically, download the data for short- term debt ratio, long term debt ratio, total equity, total assets, industry classification, profitability ratio, tangibility ratio, outstanding shares and market price data for those companies (if available). You are required to:

•  Calculate various debt ratios and do a descriptive statistic and prepare graphs to illustrate your findings.
•  Compare debt ratios (short-term and long-term debt ratios) across industries, over the sample period and in relation to some of the firm level factors such as size, profitability and tangibility. You should prepare graphs to illustrate your findings.
•  What are the interesting observations from the data you have analysed?
•  Critically discuss the factors such as firm level factors or institutional/country level factors that you think could explain your results? Please note that you do not need to do any regression analysis for this assignment. Only descriptive and graphical analysis should be used. You need to bring in arguments from previous studies to explain your results.
