Assume you were one of the senior managers involved in the Airbus A380 project when Airbus announced plans to build the aircraft. Airbus has given you the responsibility of selling the aircraft to airlines that may be interested in purchasing the A380 and, as part of this process, the company has invited a number of senior executives from major airlines to attend a meeting in order that Airbus can present details about the aircraft. Questions: 1) Discuss eight key points relating to the scope of the project that you would include in your presentation to the airline executives and explain why you think each of these points would be important to those executives representing the various airlines. 2) Before commencing the project it would be necessary for Airbus to have undertaken a Risk Assessment. Specify five risks and for each risk specified discuss the following: What impact would the risk have on the project? What action would you take to minimize the risk? What contingency plan would you have for each risk? 3) List what you would consider to be six important milestones of the project.
