Discuss the current social context of children and childhood using three theories(Modernity, Postmodernism, and  Social constructionism) you studied in Task 1.2.

Section 3- A critical analysis of the historical, cultural and political and economic influences
Present a critical analysis of the literature on the historical, cultural, political and economic influences on children and childhood and, importantly, our perspectives of children and childhood as childhood is socially constructed. Discuss the connection of the constructs (e.g. child as innocent) to these influences and refer to the novel Totto-chan, your own experiences as described in Task 1.1, as well as at least two other students’ childhood stories.
