Punishment vs. Discipline: why do you think some parents, Early Childhood Educators or teachers punish children?  What is the difference, pros and cons between using punishment (the adult deciding a solution to a problem) and child centred problem solving (the child or children working out a solution to a problem- with some help from the adult)?  Which one will you use as an educator?  (Explain your role in whichever one you choose and explain why you chose that one)
