ECED 1074 - Observation Assignment - Analyzing Babies Documentary

Assignment Task

There will be opportunities to allow practice, discuss, and understand the concepts of observing, documenting & interpreting. We will continue to build upon this knowledge.

For this assignment you will independently observe a video posted on FOL in the assignment folder called 'Babies Documentary." You will observe all 4 babies in the documentary and provide an overview on each of them. You will then focus on 2 of the 4 babies in the documentary to respond to the questions. Be sure to make notes as you observe the video. You will complete the template by filling in all of the required areas. Full detail regarding what you need to include in each of the areas are provided in-depth below which also serves as support to you. See in the submission folder your rubric. You will need to refer to lessons taught to integrate your knowledge and to show connections to learning.

Late Assignments:

1. Students are expected to upload ALL assignments on or before the due dates listed on FOL. You will upload your assignments to FOL/ Submission Folder. Please make note of when your assignments are due and how to hand them in.

2. A ticket will be issued when you upload your work to FOL/ Submissions which validates your upload. Contact IT department if you have any inquiries regarding issues.

3. Assignments submitted late will lose 10% of grade per day (this includes weekends).

4. Neither the course professor, nor any College staff, can be held responsible for assignments turned in to the Community Studies office. Students are advised to make and keep a second copy of assignments.

5. No make-ups for assignments or in-class work will be permitted except under exceptional circumstance, and with permission of the course professor. 6. In an extenuating circumstance a written request for an extension will be considered if submitted prior to the due date. Please see

ECE homeroom or your course page for a copy of the "Extension and/or Alternate Arrangement Form". This form must be submitted one week prior to the due date of the assignment. Late assignments will not be accepted unless an extension form was submitted, and professor approved in advance of the due date.

7. In order to demonstrate all course outcomes students are expected to submit all assignments. You can essentially be unsuccessful with a 60% and 1 outstanding or more assignments. ALL must be submitted.
