1 Developing Model 

Based on (economics) theory, develop an model to testify the theory. The the- ory can be a thinking, idea or a well-developed model (GDP evaluating model). 

Example1 People in wealthier country will have higher education. The model testifying this theory can be designed as: 

Y = β0 + γΩ + βiXi + u 

where Y is average education year/length, Ω is country’s GDP per capita, Xi is a vector of variables controlling for some other factors, e.g. population, dummy for developed countries e.t.c. This model allows us to testify if there is relation- ship between education years to wealth level (GDP per capita), controlling for variables.
