However, we cannot underplay the effects of possible non-COVID related physical and mental health issues that some of us might be going through, even at home. The physical and mental stress because of the current pandemic might have aggravated the possible menace of already existing problems. Being available for an assessment is not the first thing that should come to our mind. Thirdly, I hypothesize that for many of us, our screen-time/time with electronic gadgets must have spiked. I’ve already discussed this in the class (with some of you), how the attention economy of the digital world has overpowered much of our social and personal lives. In the times of physical distancing, social proximities over digital platforms are encouraging (as well as frustrating). However, I hypothesize that some of us are also killing time with our smartphones, possibly, not willingly. Managing assignment when your brain is entangled with unknown hooks in the digital economy, is tough (but not impossible). Finally, some of us must be very disturbed to see how the current measures (such as locked-down) to fight the pandemic have systemically affected the marginalized and the downtrodden. We are also disturbed to see the ugly face of humanity–the ostracizing of medical staff and certain communities. 

Yet, good things are happening, the governments are taking measures, communities are finding ways to be socially responsible, many of us are, indeed, thinking good and doing different acts of kindness. It is the most hopeful and most hopeless times. It’s bizarre, surreal yet very real.

There might be many other complex things happening at your end and thoughts crossing your mind, I understand and am empathetic to you. If you can brave these issues and are doing pretty good, I am happy for you.
