EDEC113: Early Childhood Numeracy Assessment

ASSESSMENT 2: Pedagogical suggestions - due week 
#2. Pedagogical suggestions (1500 words equivalent) - 30%
Below are three 'hierarchy of maths skills'. For each of them, suggest a pedagogical task/activity that you would implement in an early childhood setting. For each activity, please ensure you have included the following:
i. What the activity is about - what does it
involve? You may want to describe the activity briefly.
ii. What objects, items, toys, shapes, etc. can be used in the activity;
iii. Please ensure you integrate photos of any resources that you would potentially use in the activity (e.g. spoons, leaves, bouncy balls, balloons, etc.)
Hierarchy of Maths skills:
a. Basic number relations (sequencing, succession, etc.)
b. Primary generalizations (e.g. sorting, grouping, etc.)
c. Basic Maths concepts (e.g. shape, size, etc.)
Note: Form for assessment 2 is in assessment resources, please use one form per each learning experience. You will need to prepare 3 learning experiences (approximately 500 w each) focused on Maths teaching.
