Task After reflecting upon the key themes that have been introduced throughout the unit, identify some of the ‘big’ or substantive ideas that have resonated for you and are starting to shape your beliefs about teaching and learning in the social-emotional domain. With these in mind, draw or locate an image (picture or photograph) that in some way captures or provides insights into how you intend to nurture the social and emotional development of your students. Coupled with this image that will be placed on the first page of your assignment, you are required to prepare an academic essay. In the essay you must identify the key elements of the image that provide insights into your emerging beliefs and make clear connections to show how your thinking has been informed by the topics covered in the EDL 1260 Unit. It is important that your reasoning for identifying these key elements is justified and substantiated by making clear references to the readings/literature and the content of lectures and tutorials.
