Detail: Develop and present a professional learning session for educators on a specific Positive Behaviour Support strategy. The strategy should be selected from the list provided on Canvas (see Assignment 2 resources). The project to be submitted will require content for a sixty-minute session, but you are required to present a fifteen-minute summary to the class during the meeting in week 6. 

The in-class fifteen-minute presentation will typically be made as a joint presentation with another student. This requires the sharing of a selected topic from the list. The submission of the sixty-minute assignment will be made individually and the content must reflect the individual student's work. 

You are encouraged to make the presentation interactive and based around collaborative learning, including practical activities and class discussions as well as a more formal presentation. Class participants will be using observational instruments to provide feedback to the presenters. 

You will need to include the following elements: 

1. For the sixty-minute session, a rationale that matches the selected strategy to the needs of the participants. The rationale must clearly state the context in which the professional learning occurs, such as the learning needs of the participants (i.e. adults) and the types of problem behaviour that require such an intervention. 

2. For the sixty-minute and fifteen-minute sessions, the content of the presentation should outline the operation of the strategy, its evidence-base and its capacity for changing behaviour. Where possible, indicate the theoretical framework(s) that supports the strategy. The presentation may have a focus on institution-wide, targeted or individual approaches. 

3. Include three to four pages of formal essay style writing on the content of your workshop linked to the current literature, with references. The content of the paper should be structured to cover the operation of the strategy, its evidence-base and its capacity for changing behaviour. Where possible, indicate the theoretical framework(s) that supports the strategy. 

4. For the sixty-minute session, an outline of the structure and sequence. This should indicate time taken for each section or activity and the resources that you would use in each section. 

5. An indication of how you would evaluate the effectiveness and usefulness of your workshop. 

6. For the sixty-minute session, include the presentation material (such as PowerPoint), handouts, descriptions of group activities, resources and evaluation tools. If you are using a section of a video, reference this only. 

7. Submit the full sixty-minute presentation, not the fifteen-minute summary.
