The university of Bedfordshire has more than 14,000 student which includes both graduate n undergraduates. The university of Bedfordshire is one hour away from my  house.

The university of Northampton, the applicants should provide a proof of some English or all of your qualifications required undergraduate programmes. The university of Northampton is the one popular universities among the international students planning to study in the UK. Each year, the university of Northampton accepts admission applications from more than 1000 international students belonging to more than 100 countries. The university of Northampton welcomes undergraduate and graduate applications for fall and winter semesters. The applicants can apply for the programs through the online portal UCAS. The deadline for the complete application submission is September, the normal closing date of the undergraduate application is 15 January. The university of Northampton is not far from where I stayed.

My personal statement

After I have finished secondary school in Ghana, my ambition is to study adult nursing at university. I have a great interest in science, and I plan to extend my study and understand it as much as I can. Nursing is very challenging and demanded however, I believe that it is also very rewarding. 

I felt in love with nursing after being my late grandfather’s soul career and working alongside the nurse who took care of him. The care he was given at the ward beyond my expectation. This gave me an insight into caring for vulnerable individual. Although this was a difficult time for me caring for my beloved grandfather at the same time, I learnt the important of person-centred care, patience and communication in dealing with people in need.

Studying access to higher education in health profession to develop and improve my knowledge and skills in anatomy, English and IT skills. I believe that thus course will help me to communicate effectively with various people, meeting deadline and situation equip me with necessary skills which I believe is essential to becoming an adult nurse.

These experiences have helped me choose what career I want to take in life. I want to bring smiles to people’s faces. I want to be a helping hand and make a differences in people’s lives. Currently working as a waitress, this role has enabled me to communicate with different individuals from different background and culture. As a waitress, festive seasons are the busiest for the company. I was there required to be team player, be patient and accommodation while serving customers at a timely manner. Waitressing gave me the opportunity to learn on my feet and I get to meet different customers every day. Through this experience, I have learnt the important of service to humanity and developed an attitude towards improving the lives of the people and confidences in treating patients in amount of love, care and knowledge.

I am excited to be part of the nursing team this will give me joy knowing that I am able to care for someone’s love one by giving them quality of care, dignity and empathy.

Because I wanted to do something in my career that is challenging, interesting, and makes a difference in people’s lives daily. In the nursing profession, you deal with many aspects of patient care, and I enjoy the variety in the routine.

2: Tell me about yourself?

 I am motivated self- starter who really enjoys the hands on and human aspect. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than helping people out when they need it the most. Having spent the past 2 years in the restaurant as waitress working directly with customers has shown me just how far actively listening to a customer can go in helping make someone comfortable. 

3: what are the 6Cs of nursing?

The values every nurse should work to, known as six C’s are care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment.

4: what are the 5 core values of nursing?

They are human dignity, integrity, autonomy, altruism and social justice.

5: How do you manage your time as a nurse?

I make a list, I work out what order to do things in by thinking about which tasks are urgent and how important each task is. If I am not sure what is urgent and what isn’t, I find out. So I adapt the order in which I do things as necessary.

6:  How do you see yourself in 10 year’s time?

My goal right now is to find a position at a nursing team where I can grow and take on new challenges over time. I want to work for an organisation where I can build a career.

7: How do you handle stress and pressure?

I find the best way to handle the stress and pressure, I find that tasks which might seem overwhelming all at once are much more manageable. This also makes it possible for me to stay calm and remain focused on what needs to get done when unexpected situation arise.
