2. Prepare detailed design documentation including a functional description, schematic drawing and bill of materials for the pump controller.

Detail
You are to design a PLC controlled pump starter system to control two pumps. The pump motors are both 3- phase, 415Vac, 22kW, 4-pole induction motors.
A brief description of how the pumps are meant to run is included below. You will gain extra marks for improving the basic operating mode detailed below.
The pumps are controlled with four push buttons;
 PB 1: Starts Pump one;
 PB 2: Stops Pump one;
 PB 3: Starts Pump two; and
 PB 4: Stops Pump two.

The pumps are run Direct On Line (DOL) and are to be started and stopped using suitably rated contactors in the 415Vac supply to the pump motors. Each contactor is to provide two(2), Normally Open (NO) and one(1) Normally Closed (NC) contact for control and monitoring purposes. The motor circuits should also include suitable circuit breaker and motor overload relays.
