The Coulomb’s law which calculates the force between two point charges q1 and q2 is given by the following equation, where ε0 = 8.854 × 10-12 C2/N·m2 is the vacuum permittivity or electric constant, r = distance between the two point charges in meters, q1 and q2 are measured in Coulomb (C).
