Up until now, the Mr Keggs brewing company has been bottling their delectable beverages by hand. Due to recent rapid growth the decision has been made to invest in an automatic bottling system. After hearing how UNSW ELEC2141 students did such an excellent job with their Smart Homes for the Elderly assignment, Mr Keggs has decided to ask you to design the controller for this automatic bottling system.

The bottling system consists of a conveyor belt which carries bottles through three stations:

1. Filling: the empty bottle is filled with liquid.

2. Capping: the cap is placed on the bottle to seal in the delightful crisp flavors.

3. Labelling: a label is placed on the bottle.

The system has a control panel with a power-up switch that activates the system, an empty LED and three station LEDs, each of which represents each of the three stations. The system only operates when the power-up switch is turned on. The power-up switch can only be turned off if no bottles are present on the belt. The system has a timer that is always running, irrespective of the power switch. The timer generates a single-bit output at the end of a preset period, then resets itself and starts again. A laser sensor at the start of the system detects a bottle and at the next timer output pulse, the bottle is pushed onto the conveyor belt which moves it through the three stations. Each bottle stays at a station while the timer is running and is moved to the next station when a timer output is received again. The empty LED is lit up when no bottles are present on the belt. The station LEDs are lit up when the process at the corresponding station starts and turns off when completed. At most at a given point in time, there will be a maximum of three bottles in the system, one at each station. When a bottle reaches the end of the belt, it is packaged into a box.
