ELEC3251 Engineering Assessment Task
1. Implement a simulation of a H-bridge solar panel inverter using the bipolar modulation strategy. The PWM switching frequency should be 20kHz.
You need to demonstrate the following in your answer:
(a) Show the inverter is switching in a bipolar mode.
(b) Show the voltage between the PV array and the ground point.
(c) Show the current flowing through the PV panel to ground capacitor.
(d) Demonstrate that the calculations for the voltage on the PV array and the voltage difference across the PV-to-ground capacitance are correct.
In order to demonstrate the above properties your need to present the appropriate plots in your report with and an explanation of the plot, and calculations where appropriate. The plots and the discussion should be cross-referenced correctly.
2. Change the H-bridge modulation strategy to a unipolar strategy. Show the same results for this strategy as was required in the previous section. Compare these results with those for the bipolar strategy.
