Individually, choose one type of tourism covered in weeks 2 to 5 by assuming that a person will travel to a destination to undertake this type of tourism activity. Please conduct preliminary research to determine information availability before you make this choice. If you find that the number of credible sources about your chosen tourism type is limited, please consult your workshop facilitator to discuss an alternative. Please note that the literature’s date range must not exceed five years. Based on your research about your chosen tourism type, you are required to:
• Create a one-page (no more) detailed touchpoints map (i.e., a visual representation showing all the traveller journey, from start to finish, and the different touchpoints within the selected tourism type that a person will encounter). You may wish to use Canva or PowerPoint to create this
visual representation;
• Based on the created journey map, identify and analyse potential issues in each of the traveller’s touchpoints that a person might encounter (500 words); and
• Critically evaluate solutions that hospitality and tourism businesses could adopt to rectify issues you have identified by supporting your evaluation with industry-specific examples (700 words).
