By doing secondary research, I have found that the company is following ethical and sustainable business practices so that they can contribute in bringing a positive change within the environment. Although mining operations can have great impact on the environment and on the surrounding society, Anglo American are attempting to meet the sustainable development goals. Business ethics is also related to corporate social responsibility. In context to CSR, the company is attempting to improve the lives of those people who lives in the mining area by offering them fundamental facilities like sanitation and fresh water.

Example 2:

IKEA manufactures and distributes ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen equipment, and home appliances, as well as other goods and services. IKEA has a culture that values people and the environment. The firm wants to be a role model for constructive change. The company's culture encourages employees to adopt sustainable practices in order to meet their demands while minimising negative effects on the environment and society. After conducting deep research, I observed that the company used to make kitchen fronts out of recycled plastic bottles, as well as taps that help save power and water. The corporation is following ethical business practices so that its operations would not impact the environment and biodiversity. IKEA claims to be trying to achieve resource independence by solely using resources inside the planet's boundaries. As per the study, IKEA sourced 100% of its cotton and 77% of its wood from sustainable sources in 2017. In the United Kingdom, IKEA generates about 41% of its energy from renewable sources and does not send any garbage to landfills. In addition to household battery storage solutions, they provide kitchen flanks manufactured from recycled polyethylene terephthalate. Helping local communities, training and empowering employees, and tackling issues of minorities and gender equality inside the company are all part of IKEA's CSR efforts.
