Students will be allocated into groups of four in study week two and then, each group will be assigned a question. Students will need to teach their peers a particular concept concerning linear equations and/or graphs, all group members must understand and be able to perform any part of the oral presentation. For example: if someone is ill, the group will still be expected to complete the whole presentation on the day. Students will complete this assignment as a group and marks awarded for group collaboration. If the group or individual submits a video, the student(s) is/are required to be present in class. Group participation assessment forms will be required to be completed in Study weeks two, three and four.

Each member must participate fully in the group and ensure all have equal mathematical content. Marks will be deducted if group members have much more or much less mathematical content than other students in the group. For example: repeating the same information but with different values or only stating the final answer without substantial working.

These participation forms will be collected each week and give an opportunity to inform tutors of any non-participation by any group member or other problems. This is important so please complete the forms honestly.
