1. Choose a total weight of your four-axle freight wagon between 80 and 120 tonnes.
2. Choose a total length of the freight wagon between 10 and 12 metres.
3. The wagon consists of the following component masses:
- One loaded car body with an approximate weight of 80% of your total wagon weight (including the payload);
- Two bogie frames. Each bogie frame is 7.5% of your total wagon weight; and
- Four wheelsets. Each wheelset is 1.25% of your total weight.
4. Assume reasonable dimensions for all components and provide sketches with dimensions for each component and the wagon overall.
5. Write a code in Matlab to calculate mass and inertia parameters for all bodies.
6. Fill out the results obtained in the Table below:
