Your essay is to be based on your personal development opportunities undertaken during the duration of the Construction Management and Professional Skills module. It will show that you have read in your subject area and that you have looked at the available literature on the relevant topic. Part 2

BuildPro Inc., a construction company, is grappling with challenges stemming from outdated technology and a lack of control over marketing strategies, leading to escalating operational costs and a decline in project acquisitions. In response to this, BuildPro Inc. has formulated one year plan to introduce a new line of state-of-the-art modular construction. This initiative employed advanced off-site technology, enabling the production of approximately 70% of the construction components in controlled factory conditions. A thorough feasibility study suggests that investing in a manufacturing facility for producing modular components is highly advisable. Traditionally, the company relied on linear method of building with raw materials on site and follows the conventional stage by stage process from the foundations up.

The transition from tradition construction methods to modular construction which involves several key steps and considerations such as planning, health, safety, team training, design for modularity, update contracts, quality control, logistics, installation, and customer satisfaction.

The purchase price and the annual saving of each crane option are as in the following table. The company will use either crane for 5 years only. At the end of year 5, both cranes can be sold for 20% of the purchase price.
