Description

Your essay should have a clear introduction with a central thesis statement, three to four body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You MUST use direct quotations in your essay. Just as a reminder, and a check list to make sure you are on track for your final essay

  1. Your final essay is on the topic you proposed in your essay proposal assignment. An environmental (i.e climate/planet earth/green) initiative within your field of study.
  2. You are required to have 4 sources in your final paper: 2 peer reviewed sources, 1 popular source and the Everything Change anthology (your options are: The Editor's Introduction, Half-Eaten Cities, OR "Losing What we Can't Live Without") (2024). You can find the link to this anthology in your D2L table of contents under the folder "Course Readings" There is a link to the book. Click on "Get The Book" and it will take you to the table of contents. Click on the link for whichever of the 3 options you chose. 
  3. You should have already found 1 peer reviewed source and 1 popular source in your library process assignment. These are the same sources you will use in your essay. Then you are responsible for finding one more peer reviewed source on your own
  4. All four of these sources need to be correctly referenced in your reference page at the end of your essay
  5. All four of these sources need to be correctly cited within your essay (author's last name, date of publication, page number)
  6. You need to have 1 direct quotation from your choice of text from the Everything Change anthology in your introduction 
  7. You need 1 direct quotation in each body paragraph from whichever of these 3 options you chose for a total of (minimum) 4 direct quotations from this Everything Change source
  8. You need (minimum) 1 direct quotation from each of your other 3 sources
  9. You are not only summarizing or paraphrasing information about your topic. You are creating an analytical argument this is from your "So what" factor as to why this topic/initiative is important.
