[And] 5/We have to take care of humans first/. <Besides>, 6/extinction is just a natural process/. [<As>] 7/Species have been going extinct since the beginning of time/ <so> I doubt 8/there’s [probably nothing] we can even do [to prevent further extinction]/. <Anyway>, 9/what these [environmental] activists don’t realise is that they exist within the economy/ [and] 10/if our economy tanks, then so will their [environmental activists’] livelihoods/. [<so>] 11/They’ll [environmental activists] find it much harder to afford their organic cotton bags and Keep Cups if that [the economy tanking] happens/.

Passage Two: 

1/The New Zealand government needs to step in and ban the media from airbrushing women’s bodies/. [<As>] 2/Airbrushing and photoshopping just promotes unrealistic and narrow beauty standards/ [<because>] 3/it’s [airbrushing and photoshopping] like cheating on an exam/. [<because>] 4/When you cheat, you give a false picture of your ability/. [And] 5/Airbrushing is literally a false picture/! [<Besides>] 6/This fake photography is putting women at risk of feeling bad about their own bodies/, and 7/we know that’s [women feeling bad about their bodies] a sure-fire way to develop dangerous eating disorders/. [<So>] 8/If the government acts now, we could protect the next generation of girls from such objectification/. [<Anyway>] While I know 9/we’re not going to be able to completely eradicate this dangerous pursuit of perfection/, but 10/banning airbrushing will help drive this cultural shift [towards realistic imagery]/.
