Select an environmental policy that is of interest to you. It can be an Australian or international policy. It can be at the local, regional, state, or national level. It must be a differen policy from one you used in either Assignment 1 or 2 and must not be one that has been used as an example in class. Conduct a critique (positives and negatives) of your choser environmental policy.

Your paper should include: 

• The background of the policy, its instruments and policy context.

• An evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the policy process including the policy instruments chosen. Think of all of the stages in the policy cycle.

• Your recommendations for improvements to the selected policy. Hint: There is no such thing as the perfect policy.

• Your assignment must include a link to the environmental policy you have critiqued so that I can examine the policy as part of grading your assignment. 
 

Each student must do a different policy for this assignment. Please submit via an email to me the name of your chosen policy by 16 May 2021. First come first served. You are encouraged to nominate an environmental policy before 16 May 2021.1 will confirm that your nominated policy has not already been chosen by another student. 
 

Referenced journal articles: Your analysis should be supported by at least 10 journal articles. You may also reference other forms of materials (e.g. technical reports, regulations, news stories) in your assignment but include at least 10 journal articles in addition to a forms of sources.
