Section 1: Information letter to be given to participants

The major goal of this research study is to explore and understand the active behaviour profiles which are typical for one or two kindergarten students. Developing this knowledge is vital, especially in relation to the consequences of this behaviour on their peers and the whole learning environment. By determining and analysing the kinds of restlessness in preschool settings, it is possible not only to understand the root of such behaviours but also to introduce proper preventive measures and interventions. By carefully observing and analysing the situation, the study would be able to find the triggers and the patterns of hyperactivity behaviours in these students.

Aside from that, the research intends to uncover learning approaches oriented toward improving the classroom setting for those hyperactive kindergarten students. This entails looking at ways that can promote go back with self-regulation and emotional control as these are the component skills that manage hyperactivity and make learning conducive. The study seeks to contribute to the enhanced academic achievement of the active children in kindergarten and, at the same time, improve the learning environment for all by addressing the special needs of the active children in kindergarten. The core value of this report is its focus on preschool students, especially when those kids are called challenging cases and are hyperactive. Summary of the methodology (methodological approach):

This research uses an action research approach with a focus on only one or two kindergarten students to discover how hyperactivity is affected in this kind of setting. The methodology targets the active participation of designated student(s) within the classroom environment, complemented by qualitative interviews with the educators. The main purpose is to attain a refined comprehension of the issue of hyperactivity in kindergarten and to help a constructive and useful intervention such as counselling and general advice of the particular student(s).

Data retrieving will be done in two ways: qualitative and quantitative methods. Surveys filled out by teachers will collect information. With these results, we will be able to create targeted interventions addressing the root causes of the negative behaviours observed in the students and, in this way, provide an environment that is supportive of the educational and social development of everyone involved.

The target participants of this research are one or two kindergarten students with hyperactivity signs, together with teachers and caregivers from their classes. The participation of institutions or centres pinpointed in the past to host children with high levels of activity and agitation will be vital in achieving this goal. The research process consists of interviewing the class teachers to get an understanding of the characteristics and the aspects they have that influence the classroom vibrancy. Observing children during classroom activities will complement the interview data, allowing a more complete understanding of the hyperactive behaviour young people show. Besides that, weekly observations will also be carried out to register positive changes related to the target child's experiences or improvements in the classroom environment that will reveal the effectiveness of the intervention.
