The purpose of the task is to write a short proposal for a major event (at least 2000 attendees) (1000 words). The proposal will be written by each student individually. The proposal needs to include the concept behind the event, potential market for the event, potential venue and a brief overview of some of the resources needed to stage the event.
Once feedback is received from the lecturer, group formed for Assignment 2 should decide which proposal (or combinations of proposals) will be used for the event plan.
A minimum of two academic references are required. Reference to three electronic resources are also required to indicate what resources are needed for the event (e.g. hire equipment, technical requirements, etc). 1000 words 20% End of Week 1: 3

LO 2: Examine and critique the operations and management techniques of facilities and the resources used for hosting special events.
