Design Brief You are to work in pairs to set up an information system for an event of your choosing. The system will make effective use of software such as graphics software, desktop publishing software, database software, word processing software and communication software. The components that you will be required to develop are a database (including creating and editing graphics) and a mail merged invitation to the event. Along with the practical components of the task, you are also required to develop a portfolio to show the development of your group's information system. 
 

Part 1 — Practical For the practical part of this project your group needs to design and develop a database of invitees as well as a mail merged invitation to your event. To be successful in this project your practical components should include the following: 
Database 
Invitation 
o Main Menu with appropriately named controls (i.e. not commandl)

o Data Entry Form with custom controls

o Table with appropriate Data Types and Input Masks o Reports

o Queries o Custom Logo

o Edited in Design View (not templates) 
o A4 custom designed invitation

o Letterhead o Mail Merged invitation including message and postage labels.
