Apply knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the embryo, fetus and newborn to the systematic examination of the newborn. Examine the range of factors affecting the health of the embryo, fetus and newborn, including the epigenetics of health.

Be able to initiate a plan of care when the newborn’s health is compromised, demonstrating an awareness of ethical and professional responsibilities.
